Diyala governorate consider one of the famous governorates by found
density of animals because it fulfilled with a useful agriculture
land to plant the forage and grass which encourage the animal
breeding therefore the agriculture established in diyala university
on 2004 at the purpose of progressive in agriculture and animals
reality , growth and increase its production qualification . animal
production department consider one of the important departments of
the college that is established on 2007 and swan accepted ( 40 )
students in the first stage then rise the number at the last years
to be 65 on 2007 and that was simultaneous with the develop of
the lecturer cadre . and now it is contain 25 lecturer they have
doctorate and master degree in different scientific specializations
in animal production science . in 2006 , rename the department of
the animal production to the department of the animal wealth . and
that was to union with the others college of agriculture in the
country and also accredited the studical programs in the
department through the programs which decided by the committee of
agriculture sector in the ministry of higher education and
scientific research . These programs contain all the subjects which
concern with the animal wealth. Where the graduated students from
this department were familiar with animal wealth science which led
to growth, develop and increase its produce qualification. in the
future department scheme it
will share by offered consultations services and the scientific
experiences to the owners of domestic animals fields in the
governorate .
