The university, which stems from the historical depth must be distinct and works for a scientific and cultural creativity that is - Diyala University - which its name gave to it a great responsibility where had to be understand its historical extended to maintain it historical heritage with all what is creative , modern and on the other hand Has to cope with all the developments in the world and changed it into a small village.

Diyala university has an ambitious scheme to create anew colleges and in spite of its newness it originate two colleges in a year as a create average .so the university start establish the college of agriculture and in the future it will create anew colleges like administration and economy , political sciences , computers , languages , fine arts , literatures , and  pharmacy colleges .
