The Aims of the University:

1. Preparation of cadres qualified scientifically and highly qualified professionals in the fields of science, literature and the arts to    

     perform their duties in serving the country and promote it.
2. Create opportunities and make them available for smarters and talented students to complete their higher studies in various     

    fields.
3. Follow-up evaluate and curriculum development in line with the scientific and technical development in the world.
4. Develop strategies and tools of scientific research and advanced in terms of literature, science and inventions to meet the evolving  

     requirements of life.
5. The recruitment of research centers of the University to develop  and advancement of scientific research and authoring, translation   

     and publishing and all forms of production, to makes the Sciences serve the community.
6. Follow-up training and development of professional staff and teaching staff and management so that they can achieve the objectives of   

    the university, developed for the better.
7. The Openness and continues regionally and globally through the establishment of missions and scientific conferences and seminars  

    within the country and participate outside the country.
8. Provide consulting and technical service to the university, the public sector and private and mixed.
9. Improve and enhance the performance of the University and raise efficiency in line with the scientific and technological revival   

    using computer systems and communications.
10. Interest in the development environment and community service and a culture of moderation and tolerance in accordance with the

    principles of religion which calls for moderation, dialogue and renunciation of violence and extremism

The university, which stems from the historical depth must be distinct and works for a scientific and cultural creativity that is - Diyala University - which its name gave to it a great responsibility where had to be understand its historical extended to maintain it historical heritage with all what is creative , modern and on the other hand Has to cope with all the developments in the world and changed it into a small village.
